Overview
The SJSU SAMMY app provides features like discussion feeds, course schedules, campus maps, and event updates. It allows you to scan and access in-person, campus events, making it a convenient tool for navigating university life.
Challenge
How may we improve the mobile application for the intended audience? For this project, I am tasked with revamping three (3) of the app's features.
Here are the three main app challenges I've identified and will be targeting:
Inconsistent and cluttered interface. For this issue, the redesign will focus on the main interface's features, such as essential SJSU resources, events, and announcements.
Limited personalization. For this issue, the redesign will focus on the impact on student involvement and developing a close-knit community on the app.
Poor navigation flow. For this issue, the redesign will focus on accessing the benefits of SJSU-affiliated students.
Target Audience
Primary: Both undergraduate and graduate students who need a platform to communicate with other students, and access student life, campus resources, event updates, and academic tools.
Secondary: Professors, administrative staff, and campus employees who use the app to stay informed about university events, campus resources, and discussion topics

Meet Sammy Go!
Intentional and accessible home interface. Sammy Go!'s home feed consolidates the most valuable features for SJSU students, such as campus safety resources, urgent UPD notices, and student life activities.
Spotlight student discounts page. Sammy Go! makes it easy for students to know how and where to use their Tower ID to access deals and discounts while supporting local DTSJ businesses.
Personalize student involvement. Sammy Go! revamps how students can navigate and develop a sense of community with on-campus clubs, student organizations, and collegiate sports teams.
